Best Android Apps for Live Cricket Scores and Commentary

Cricket is one of the most popular games of the world, and if it comes to India, it is not just a game but a religion. The God of Cricket, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is from India only. Sachin had been a big reason for people to watch cricket on their TV. Though he is now retired, we still have great players like Virat Kohli, Rohit, Sharma, MS Dhoni, Ashwin, and many more.

Apart from these, if you are a true cricket lover and enjoy the game regardless of the country playing then there are many cricketers that you love to watch such as AB De Villiers, Chris Gayle, and many others.

Nowadays, the most popular format of Cricket is T20, and you must be aware that T20 World Cup is going on. And, you must not want to miss the live scores when these great players are playing. Especially, when the Worldcup is going on. But, there are times, you are not at home or no access to TV, you can miss watching important matches. Right?

Nothing to worry about. We are living in a world full of technology, and you can get almost everything on your Smartphone. Yes, there are Android apps available that you can install on your phone to get updated with the live scores, and even ball to ball commentary.

In this post, I am sharing a list of Android Apps for live cricket scores and commentary that you can install on your Android Smartphone to stay updated with the live Cricket scores.

1. Cricbuzz

Cricbuzz comes first on my list, and I use this app to stay updated with the live scores of T20 World Cup matches because I am travelling more nowadays for business meet ups.

The app is fully free to use. It offers ball to ball text-based commentary. It covers almost all types of International cricket tournaments. You can also check player’s profiles to get more info about them. Additionally, you can get information about the ranking of a particular team in ODIs, Tests and T20.

In short, this app offers almost everything you need or want as far as Cricket is concerned.

2. Cricinfo

To be honest, it also offers the similar things as Cricbuzz offers. You can enjoy ball to ball text based detailed commentary to imagine the action happening on the ground. It keeps you updated with all the Cricket related news and match schedules. Various Videos and Audio podcasts are also available that you can enjoy.

This is the time you should get this app and enjoy T20 World Cup matches. It will be a great friend if you are away from your TV set for some reasons. It will keep you updated with the scores.

3. Yahoo! Cricket

Yahoo Cricket

If you are an internet user, you must have used cricket.yahoo.com to stay updated with the live scores while working in an office. Now, this is available in the form of an app which you can install to stay updated with the live scores, and also know the results of previous matches that you missed.

The Scorecard of this app is awesome and interactive. The ball by ball commentary of Yahoo! Cricket is far better than other apps. You can also get information about the upcoming match schedules.

Yahoo Cricket has been the oldest source I used to know the live score while working at the office. Now, as this is available as an app, we can get most out of it on the go.

4. NDTV Cricket

NDTV Cricket

Though NDTV is a news channel, it has created an app separately for Cricket related news. It claims to deliver the fastest live scores. You can get the ball by ball commentary in this app too.

You can keep the notifications on to get the news and live updates.

5. Hotstar

Hotstar is not cricket app primarily rather you can watch your favorite TV shows on your phone using this app. It comes handy when you are travelling, and you cannot be in front of your TV set. You just need a good internet connection in your smartphone to enjoy TV shows and Cricket too.

Almost all the matches, you can stream on Hotstar, and enjoy the feel as you watch on TV.

I am in love with this app for cricket because you can actually watch the match and listen to the commentary even without TV.

Install Hotstar, and don’t miss any cricketing action of this T20 World Cup.

Final Words

For a cricket lover, knowing the live score of the ongoing matches is very important. These Android apps are the best ones to stay updated with the live cricket scores. Especially, when World Cup is going on, you must not want to miss even a single match.

If you are on business trip and don’t get time to watch the next match on TV, use any of the app mentioned above to enjoy the match.

Hey, Did I tell you that India and Australia match is today at 7:30 PM IST. Don’t miss it because this is a deciding match for next semi-finalist.
